J. Lawrence Mintier, FAICP

March 4, 1948 – June 30, 2023

Larry was President of Mintier & Associates and a Project Advisor at Mintier Harnish. Larry was a Fellow of the American Institute of Certified Planners, an emeritus member and former president of the California Planning Roundtable, and a 12-year board member and former president of the California Planning Foundation. He served as Chapter Co-Historian of APA California and Chair of the Planner Emeritus Network Planner Remembrance Program . As a consultant, he worked for over 100 public agencies and over 60 private clients and law firms. Prior to establishing Mintier Harnish in 1985, Larry worked for the California Governor’s Office of Planning and Research, specializing in planning, land use, and environmental issues. Prior to joining the Governor’s Office, Larry worked as a planner for the City of Napa. Larry held a BA from UCLA and master’s degrees in Public Administration and City Planning from UC Berkeley.
