Beth Burks, AICP
Beth brings over 20 years experience in land use, environmental, and transportation planning serving California's rural North Coast. She has worked in both the public and private sectors on projects as varied as county cannabis ordinances, wind development and regional transportation plans.
She is currently the executive director of the Humboldt County Association of Governments.
Affordable housing is a passion and she is the past board president of Housing Humboldt a non-profit affordable housing developer. During her tenure Housing
Humboldt built Humboldt County’s first supportive housing complex for individuals with mental illness that were also experiencing chronic homelessness, in addition to providing home
ownership opportunities through a housing land trust.
Beth is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (PC Nepal 2002-2004).
